Palin v McCain

I’m not sure about the rest of you, but I love a good “cat” fight. These two moronic media whores couldn’t put their heads together to scramble eggs. John, Sarah, you’ve done this country a really great service!

A Brief Commentary on the Insanity in America Right Now!

For the last several months/weeks we have been going through what the rest of the world most likely see as an alarming breakdown of her people and government. We have got people protesting the building of a mosque/Islamic community center in New York City. Let’s just get along. The years won’t heal the pain of losing folks, nor of the attack itself (as we were all angry and in shock), but if we continue to move in this negative direction of idiocy, then we’re asking for whatever comes our way; and that “way” may be even worse than than the previous attack.

We have a total nut-job in Gainesville, Florida threatening to burn the Quran (now currently reported as an event that will not happen). This was also an event that brought attention and comments from the US Government directly to this “pastor”. Even Sunday, September 11th, 2010, James Carville on CNN was interviewed and commented on this “clown” and the real direction this country is headed.

The BP spill in the Gulf Coast was just another Alaskan episode. The environment ruined for generations of animals dependent upon that environment for their existence, plants and the other flora, and the people who depend on shrimping and fishing for their livelihood. If this happened in Japan, I’d bet their executive(s) in charge would have committed suicide out of embarrassment to their family name. But Tony’s still on his yacht, on vacation, now all but forgotten. And if I see on more BP employee telling me he’s from the Gulf Coast and won’t leave until all the damage is undone, the I’m beginning to think the entire Gulf Coast is on the BP payroll.

And finally, although combat operations have all but ceased by the US in Iraq, I would bet that they all went to Afghanistan, where I’m sure they’ll be needed. Remember your history, folks: this is a smallish nation of herders, farmers, and tribal areas in some of the harshest country on earth. They me be all the above, vocationally, but when called to action, the mujahideen are fierce, extremely intelligent, and probably some of the best, if not the best, guerrilla fighters in the world (at least they were when Massoud was alive – the one man who could’ve prevented so much, gone to early).  Though they freelanced after they kicked the Russian Bear in the ass (a WORLD power), forcing them to leave, they are there again fighting the US and her allies, and performing at a level not unfamiliar to veterans of the Russian battles. And don’t forget the British. They were evicted more than 100 years ago by the Afghani’s, and in Kipling’s poem, “The Young British Soldier”, he offers some foreboding advice:

When you’re wounded and left on Afghanistan’s plains,
And the women come out to cut up what remains,
Jest roll to your rifle and blow out your brains
An’ go to your Gawd like a soldier.
Go, go, go like a soldier,
Go, go, go like a soldier,
Go, go, go like a soldier,
So-oldier ~of~ the Queen!

Although this dealt with British Imperialism to a degree, the poem ends with a tragic possibility. Where it may not be “manly” today, for the sake of emphasis, I’d say he’s inferring that the Afghani’s lived hard lives, they are accustomed to defending their land, and will eventually evict ANY country from invading their country. One has to admire their perseverance. And we’re in Afghanistan because why? Is this the new Cambodia? Always gotta be killing somebody? Watch the tables aren’t turned, men. Your officers aren’t as bright as you think they are……..nor are their superiors.
